DuplaClear

Until now, aquarists have often been irritated by algae magnets dropping to the bottom of the aquarium, getting soiled with substrate and the grains on the wiping area then scratching the aquarium pane. This has changed completely with DuplaClear: An air-filled ball at the lower end ensures that when the inside magnet loses contact with the outside half it slowly sinks to the bottom along the pane. A small weight inside the ball also stabilises the magnet so that it does not penetrate too deeply into the substrate. This procedure makes sure that the magnet is easily picked up again for its next deployment and does not float about in some inaccessible corner of the tank - like the floating magnets of other manufacturers. The wiping area of the magnet is thus kept clean and cannot scratch the aquarium pane once it is re-attached to the magnet half on the outside.

CO₂Adapters

Special CO₂ adapters are now available under the Dupla brand name, to fit standard filter hoses with interior and exterior diameters of 9/12, 12/16 and 16/22 mm. As well as being designed to connect Dupla CO₂ reactors to an aquarium filter; they can be used for attaching external nitrate, nitrite and phosphate filters.

CO₂ fitting of the next generation

With the new Dupla CO₂ Fitting Pro, it has become possible, for the first time, to connect several fittings in series and therefore to supply several aquariums using a single CO₂ cylinder. The new fitting is also distinguished by large, easy-to-read, working and cylinder pressure gauges, high control accuracy, precise bubble count setting, a fine particle filter in cylinder connection and in needle valve and a pressure relief ring at the pressure control valve for easy removal of fitting. With immediate effect, the Dupla CO₂ sets Delta 200 and Delta 400 will only be equipped with the new, high-quality fitting.

Improved aquarium computer MultiControl 1.2

Dohse Aquaristik intends to offer a revised version of the aquarium computer under the DUPLA brandname in Febuary 2009. The model is characterised by the following functions: - Water temperature regulation with +/- 0.1 °C accuracy - Floor temperature regulation / alternatively cooling device regulation - acoustic temperature alarm - pH-controlled CO₂ fertilisation - pH control precision +/- 0.1 (standard) - acoustic ph alarm - 6-weekly calibration reminder function - 3 timer slots with on-/off switching up to 8 times a day - LED operating control lamps on the control bar - external control panel with blue display and switched background lighting - Toggle mode, displaying pH-value, temperature and time of day in 2-second cycles New features in version 1.2: - programming in seconds (important for dosage pumps) - interval programming (important for dynamic pumps) - pH 9 programming (important for seawater aquaria) - continuous on-off functions of the timer slots - manual on-/off-switching of the timer slots Due to hardware changes, previous models cannot be updated.
